Security posture
We build for enterprise-grade security because our users trust us with confidential materials. These are the controls we hold ourselves to:
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
- Access to sensitive workspaces and data rooms is permissioned and logged.
- We follow the principle of least privilege for internal access to customer data.
- We work toward and align our controls with recognized enterprise security practices.
How we verify
Our verification confirms the presence and consistency of identity, company standing, and documentation. It is a check on who and what, never a judgment of whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.
Identity
We verify that a person is who they say they are using standard identity checks, so the profile behind an interaction is a real, accountable party.
Company
We check that a company exists and that the person acting for it is authorized to do so, using public registries and supporting documentation.
Documentation
We confirm that stated documents are present and internally consistent. Verification records what exists and matches; it does not assess whether a project is a good idea.
What a verified badge means, and what it does not. A verified status confirms that identity, company, or documentation checks were completed and that the stated materials are present. It is not an endorsement, a rating, or a statement that any project will succeed. Verification confirms documentation, never investment merit.
Data ownership
- Your content is yours. You control what you upload, who you share it with, and when you remove it.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private project materials as a product for others.
- Access to a data room is granted by you and can be revoked by you.
The role we play
FILM.FUND is a software and workflow platform. We provide verification, data rooms, analysis, discovery, and introductions. We are not a broker-dealer, not an investment adviser, not an escrow agent, and not the issuer of any offering. We do not give investment advice or predict returns.
